No matter who you are or where you come from, if you are in 6th-12th grade, you are welcome at Summit Springs Youth. Our desire is to create a welcoming environment, in the midst of the busy lives of our students, where youth can encounter God’s love and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope you will join us as we share God’s love, love one another, and have some fun!
Each Sunday, 6th - 12th Graders meet for "Holy Spirit Check-in" from 9:40am to 10:30am in the Christian Life Center. During this time, we discuss how we have seen the Holy Spirit moving in our lives in the past week. It's a time of reflection to recognize both the large and small ways that God works in our everyday lives.
We either attend the 10:40 Summit Worship or 11:00 Sanctuary Worship as a group so that we can experience as many expressions available at QSUMC.
All ages gather from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for Youth Fellowship. During this time, our main purpose is to strengthen the bond between the youth who attend through food and fellowship. Food is provided by a generous volunteer and after we eat, we proceed with the evening's activities that vary from week to week. Examples of Sunday evening activities include community service, attending MetroWorship (quarterly worship service geared specifically for youth open to all youth groups in the OKC Metro), or playing giant icebreaker games, which is our chance to run around and be silly. Through these various Sunday evening activities, we hope our youth build strong bonds that evolve into lifelong friendships.
On most Sunday evenings, Youth Fellowship meets in the CLC, but be sure to subscribe to our e-mail list to be up-to-date on all the latest youth happenings.
All ages meet for Wednesday Evening "Bible Study" from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
On Wednesday evenings, we focus on scripture analysis and how the Bible can relate in the complex life of today's teenager. We work through both the inspirational bits and the "tough-to-get-through" parts and we take a critical look at what it means to be a Christian, what it means to be a Methodist, and how we live this out in our daily interactions.
Bible Study meets in the CLC every Wednesday, except for the third Wednesday of each month, when we meet in someone's home. Subscribe to our e-mail list to be up-to-date on all the latest youth happenings.
We have many opportunities for adults to volunteer with Summit Springs Youth. Whether you currently have a child in the group or not, we would love to have you join us! Check out the list of opportunities and click here to complete the Summit Springs Volunteer Form to get started!
