At Quail Springs UMC, children are a vital part of our community! QS Kids serves children birth through 5th grade and offers a wide range of activities that:

  • Bring your children into a relationship with Jesus Christ and each other
  • Share God’s love every week in a dynamic way
  • Show our kids how God’s word fits into their lives, how to talk to God, and how to share God’s love with others

Nursery (0-2 years)

The Nursery shares God's love with children from infants to 2 years old. An experienced and qualified staff of caregivers provides the care these children deserve in a safe and loving environment. Nursery care is available during 8:30am Sanctuary Worship, and opens again at 10:20am for Summit Worship and 11:00am Sanctuary Worship.

QS Kids (3 years through 5th grade)

What to Expect

Activities

As kids arrive on Sunday mornings, they are encouraged to participate in puzzles, games, toys, crafts, and coloring activities, or create and build new friendships!

Praise and Worship

Each Sunday begins with an energetic and kid-friendly time of praise and worship.  Your kids will love the fun praise songs, silly videos, and dancing that all offer our worship to God.

Dive Into God's Word

After a snack is served, the kids head back to their classroom to "Dive Into God's Word," which is our Sunday morning Bible story curriculum. The kids are assigned one of three teams:

  • Green Team (3-5 years)
  • Blue Team (Kindergarten-2nd Grade)
  • Red Team (3rd-5th Grade)

Where do we go if we are guests?

Upon entering the Main Building (Sanctuary Worship) or Christian Life Center (Summit Worship), a greeter will direct you to the Children's Area. At that time you will be welcomed by one of our QS Kids staff members to provide your child’s information where he or she will be assigned a team and check in for the worship time. They will receive a printed name tag and parents will receive a pick-up tag to present to teachers for infants through 3rd Grade. We have a great group of volunteers who will help you get to your classroom and answer any questions you may have.

For general church information, visit the Information Table inside the worship space, or click here.

Is the worship service okay for children?

You are invited to share the worship experience with your child at any of our worship services.

Safety Procedures

Your child’s safety is important to us. That’s why all children must be checked in by a parent using one of the check-in stations upon entering one of the two worship spaces. One of our volunteers will be happy to assist you.

You will receive a name tag for your child and a corresponding tag for you. You must show your corresponding tag in order to pick up your child from his/her classroom.

Our QS Kids staff members are trained and have undergone an extensive interview and background process.

Special Needs Ministry

We want children with special needs to be included and be able to participate each week at QS Kids. Our goal is for each child to be supported to engage with their peers and feel a sense of belonging through the support of a buddy (aide).

Our Special Needs Ministry is supervised by Erin Buck, a certified special education teacher who has experience with all ages and disabilities. She trains all childcare workers and volunteers who will assist children with special needs.

In order to accommodate a child with special needs we require an intake form be completed prior to your visit to QS Kids. Please complete the Special Needs Inclusion registration form. You will be contacted by our staff once we receive this form, so you can help us get to know your child better.

Get Involved

The best way is to volunteer and serve in an area that suits your individual gifts. We have a variety of service opportunities for anyone who would like to serve. Contact us for more info!

For further questions, please contact Becky Hobble, Director of QS Kids.

We look forward to seeing your family soon!
