About Children’s Ministry

At Quail Springs UMC, children are a vital part of our community! Children's Ministry serves children birth through 5th grade and offers a wide range of activities that:

  • Bring your children into a relationship with Jesus Christ and each other

  • Share God’s love every week in a dynamic way

  • Show our kids how God’s word fits into their lives, how to talk to God, and how to share God’s love with others

What to Expect

Activities

As kids arrive on Sunday mornings, they are encouraged to participate in puzzles, games, toys, crafts, and coloring activities, or create and build new friendships!

Praise and Worship

We end each Sunday with an energetic and kid-friendly time of praise and worship. Your kids will love the fun praise songs, silly videos, and dancing that all offer our worship to God.

Simply Loved

The kids begin each Sunday morning with their teachers/Crew Guides exploring a foundational, Jesus-centered journey through God’s story of love.  To put it simply, we are teaching all kids that God “Simply Loved” us! Simply Loved is a simpler approach to Sunday school where kids experience God’s greatest gift. Through games, stories, movement and art, each child will experience the daily Bible story. At the end of each class time, kiddos are given a “Take Home Flyer” to extend the learning experience outside of the church doors and into their home. Currently, the kids are assigned, by age, to classrooms.

*Preschool-Kindergarten: PreK B classroom

*First-Fifth Grade: The Kid’s Place

Where do we go if we are guests?

Upon entering the Welcome Space a greeter will direct you either to the Sanctuary (for older children) or to the Education Wing. Once in the Education Wing, you will be welcomed by one of our Children’s Ministry staff members who will help you get signed in and will escort you and your child to the appropriate classroom. Older children will sit in the worship service with their family until the Children’s Message. At that time, they will be invited to come forward for the message and then will be lead back to their Sunday school classes.

For general church information, visit the Information Table inside the worship space, or click here.

Is the worship service okay for children?

You are invited to share the worship experience with your child at any of our worship services.

Safety Procedures

Your child’s safety is important to us. That’s why all children must be checked in with a Children’s Ministry staff member or at the check-in station, located inside the Education wing hallway.

Our QS Kids staff members are trained in Safe Sanctuary and have undergone background checks.
