Family: She is the mother of four young adults and the proud "MiMi" of Dominick, Micah, Alkevion; and, one granddaughter, Peyton.

Interesting Facts: Her hobbies are: reading, singing, listening to all types of music, watching episodes of Frasier, Golden Girls, just about any game shows on the Game Show Network, and Sci-Fi movies, roller skating, and playing online Scrabble (a.k.a., "Words with Friends".)

Best Part of Your Job: In ministry, she finds her heart extremely happy equipping adults/young adults/youth/children for Kingdom service. She has a strong passion for criminal justice ministry. She loves to preach, teach the Word and especially loves basking in the presence of God through worship.


Jennifer Hailes, Associate Pastor

Education: Master of Divinity from St. Paul School of Theology, 2022,BA in Communication from East Texas Baptist University, 2018

Family: Married to Matthew; cat parent of Sage, Mandalorian, and Purrah.

Interesting Facts: Jennifer grew up in Houston, Texas, but moved to Oklahoma City in 2019 for school and work. She enjoys martial arts, long walks with a good audiobook, video games, board games, and gardening in her spare time. She is a candidate for ministry through the United Methodist Church, pursuing ordination as an Elder.

Best Part of Your Job: In ministry, she finds fulfillment in offering care to those who are experiencing hardships, and encouraging them to seek God’s comforting grace. She loves teaching and leading Bible studies, digging deeper into God’s word and it’s impact on us today.


Bret Smithey, Director of Sanctuary Music Ministries

Education: Doctor of Music from Florida State University, Masters of Music from University of Tennessee, Bachelors of Music from Westminster Choir College

Joined the Staff: June 2019

Family: Married to Lori, a singer and worship leader. Three children Jake, Eli, and Annabelle.

Interesting Facts: I am a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have been an active competitor in grappling and wrestling for many years.

Best Part of Your Job: "So far it has been the warmth and openness I have received here at QSUMC. Everyone have made me feel immediately at home."


John Staton, Accompanist & Handbell Choir Director

Education: Southwestern State University - Bachelor of Music Education; Master of Music Education

Joined the Staff: December 2003

Family: “Family is my joy in life. My wonderful husband Forrest and I are proud parents to our two fur babies, Hartley and Buddy. A special joy is living less than a mile from my nephew Kolby which means I can take him to school every day and I get to be a kid with him at family gatherings while the other adults are being adults.”

Interesting Facts: John grew up in Hollis, Ok.  After college he was a band director and was named Southwestern Oklahoma Bandmaster of the Year in 1981.  In his present full time job at Pender's Music Company he consults with band, choir, and orchestra directors from across the state. In 2016 he received the Oklahoma Music Educators Lifetime Service award for his work in the music industry.  His favorite hobby is flower gardening.

Brad Boxberger, Youth Minister

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry From Southern Nazarene University 2019

Joined the Staff: June 2023

Family: Cat parent to Lexus LS 400 and proud uncle of Kristian, Karsen, and Aria

Interesting Facts: I'm bi-vocational and work at UPS part-time. Dr. Pepper rules. I love playing video games, longboarding, and watching movies with friends. I'm a big fan of Faye Webster.

Best Part of Your Job: Youth ministry is incredible because one moment you can be chugging mountain dew, the next resolving conflict, and then teaching about the Gospel. I love it when I'm teaching and I witness understanding click into place!


Becky Hobble, Director of Children’s Ministry

Education: Oklahoma City University - Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood/Elementary Education

Joined the Staff: October 2013

Family: Married to H.E.; step-mother to Daniel and Katie; dog owner to Snoop (Dog) and Petey the Wonder Dog who is now in heaven.

Interesting Facts: Prior to her work at QSUMC, Becky taught Early Childhood and Pre-K for twelve years in Wichita, KS and Edmond, OK. She is the granddaughter of a Methodist minister and is proud to say that everyone in her family is a singer (even Petey)! In her spare time, Becky is an avid reader.

Best Part of Your Job: "I love the enthusiasm that the kids have for learning, experiencing, and sharing God's love."


Jeanine Randall, Director of The Early Childhood Program

Education: Oklahoma City University - Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Joined the Staff: July 2013

Family: Married to John; Mother to Jessica, married to Jeremy, Caitlin, married to Tyler, and Grandmother of 5.

Interesting Facts: Her love for early childhood education resulted in Jeanine teaching PreK in a private preschool for 22 years before becoming the ECP Director here at Quail Springs United Methodist Church in 2013.

Jeanine’s husband John works for The Window Outfitters as a manufacturer’s representative. Jeanine has two daughters. The oldest, Jessica, is a brand partner with PaperPie and homeschools her two boys. Caitlin teaches PreK in the Early Childhood Program and is a mother to three boys. The five grandsons, Jacob, James, Gray, Hayes, and Wells are Jeanine’s favorite topics of conversation.

Best Part of Your Job: "One day a parent asked one of our two-year-old students what she had learned that day. The child grinned and enthusiastically replied, "I learned that Jesus loves me!" That is why I come to work every day!"
