The mission of QS Kids is to provide for all children an age-appropriate and Christ-centered ministry that is engaging, creative and relevant to their everyday lives.
QS Kids gathers on Sundays at 10:00am during Summit Worship and Discipleship Groups and during the 11:00 Sanctuary Worship service.
At Quail Springs UMC, children are a vital part of our community! Children's Ministry serves children birth through 5th grade and offers a wide range of activities that:
- Bring your children into a relationship with Jesus Christ and each other
- Share God’s love every week in a dynamic way
- Show our kids how God’s word fits into their lives, how to talk to God, and how to share God’s love with others
Nursery (0-2 years)
The Nursery shares God’s love with children from infants to 2 year olds. An experienced and qualified staff of caregivers provides the care these children deserve in a safe and loving environment. Nursery care is available during the 10:00am Summit Worship and Sunday school hour and for the 11:00am Sanctuary Worship.

What to Expect
As kids arrive on Sunday mornings, they are encouraged to participate in puzzles, games, toys, crafts, and coloring activities, or create and build new friendships!
Praise and Worship
We end each Sunday with an energetic and kid-friendly time of praise and worship. Your kids will love the fun praise songs, silly videos, and dancing that all offer our worship to God.
What’s all the BUZZ about?
The kids begin each Sunday morning in their classroom discovering what the “BUZZ”, our Sunday morning Bible story curriculum, is about that day. Through games, stories, movement and art, each child will experience the daily Bible story. After each lesson a “BUZZ at Home” card is given to the child to extend the learning experience outside of the church doors and into their home. The kids are assigned to one of four teams:
*Green Team (3-5 year olds)
*Blue Team (Kindergarten-1st Grade)
*Bible Adventures (2nd-3rd Grades)
*Red Team (4th-5th Grade)
Where do we go if we are guests?
Upon entering the Main Building (Sanctuary Worship) or Christian Life Center (Summit Worship), a greeter will direct you to the Children's Area. At that time you will be welcomed by one of our Children's Ministry staff members to provide your child’s information where he or she will be assigned a team and check in for the worship time. They will receive a printed name tag and parents will receive a pick-up tag to present to teachers for infants through 3rd Grade. We have a great group of volunteers who will help you get to your classroom and answer any questions you may have.
For general church information, visit the Information Table inside the worship space, or click here.
Is the worship service okay for children?
You are invited to share the worship experience with your child at any of our worship services.
What if my child has special needs?
We want children with special needs to be included and be able to participate each week at Children's Ministry. Our goal is for each child to be supported to engage with their peers and feel a sense of belonging through the support of a buddy (aide).
Your child’s safety is important to us. That’s why all children must be checked in by a parent using one of the check-in stations upon entering one of the two worship spaces. One of our volunteers will be happy to assist you.
You will receive a name tag for your child and a corresponding tag for you. You must show your corresponding tag in order to pick up your child from his/her classroom.
Our QS Kids staff members are trained and have undergone an extensive interview and background process.
The best way is to volunteer and serve in an area that suits your individual gifts. We have a variety of service opportunities for anyone who would like to serve. Contact us for more info!
