Special Events Calendar - March 2010
Sunday the 7th
  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am - Unity Sunday
    Location: Christian Life Center
    Details:
Join us for light refreshments and get together to welcome Rev. Doug Burr. We will also be getting to know one another better since the two worship services don't often mix. The get together will take place right after the first service on Sunday, March 7th and last until 11 am when we start the second service. Everyone is invited to stay late or come early!
Sunday the 21st
  • 2:30 am - 4:30 am - CANCELED GREEN TEA
    Location: Christian Life Center
    Details:
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MARCH 28th DUE TO THE WINTER WEATHER! All women (very mature, the very young and all those who consider themselves somewhere in between) are encouraged to attend this very special event which takes place only once a year!
Tea hostesses will decorate tables with originality and create a beautiful tea room in the CLC. The tea table will be beautifully set with goodies accompanied by assorted teas.
While green is a beautiful color it is most beautiful as the color of folding money which will be received in the green lined basket. This year all donations will go to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for Haiti relief. Any expenses incurred by the Green Tea are covered by the United Methodist Women so that all donations go to the designated project.
Entertainment will be provided by the exceptional choir of our own Quail Springs United Methodist Church. You surely don't want to miss their presentations.
There will again be a display of treasured tea sets and tea pots at the green tea. If you have a tea set or tea pot you would like to share on display let Sandy Page know. Tea goodies such as cookies, scones, small sandwiches, or any other "dainties" would be much appreciated. Let Sandy know if you could help in any way.
Child care will be provided for young folks too young to enjoy tea.
