Outreach Giving Opportunities
Whiz Kids: Whiz Kids is a mentoring program focused on the reading skills of inner city children. Whiz Kids does make a difference! We meet on Tuesdays from 2:30 until 5:00. The only requirements are that you enjoy kids and can read on a 5th grade level. Please consider becoming a mentor or substitute mentor for this wonderful outreach mission. Although the school year is in full swing, we continue to be in need of mentors, substitute mentors, and people to help with the food. Ruth Miller is Knitting Again:
During the past 2 years you have contributed enough yarn for 20 afghans that were taken to our mission at Cookson Hills!
It is again time to dig out that yarn that you never got around to using. Bring it to church and we will make use of it. Thank you for your help. (posted 1-7-10)
