Dr. David M. Clewell was appointed as pastor of Quail Springs UMC in 2010.  He is originally from Watonga, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma City University with a major in music. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri and returned to Oklahoma where he has served churches in Ponca City, Altus, Arnett, Sayre, Shawnee and Sallisaw.  In 2002 he received the Doctor of Ministry degree from Saint Paul School of Theology. He currently serves as vice-chair of the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry.

 

 His wife, Kay, is a Radiologic Technician. They have been foster parents for 16 years and therapeutic foster parents for the past 6 years.  Kay's interests include stained glass and other crafts.

 

 They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Their youngest daughter, Michelle, is a junior at Edmond Santa Fe.

 

 David's interests include playing trumpet, cooking, and gardening.  He and Kay enjoy traveling, camping in their travel trailer and spending time with family.
